Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents intending to take up Singapore citizenship.
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and an interest in public diplomacy and international relations.
Present themselves as well-rounded individuals with good academic and non-academic records.
Singapore Government Scholarship (Foreign Service)
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
GCE A-Level;
International Baccalaureate (IB);
Polytechnic Diploma with Merit; or
Other equivalent pre-university qualifications.
Applicants may apply prior to receiving their final examination results.
Mid-Term Singapore Government Scholarship (Foreign Service)
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
GCE A-Level;
International Baccalaureate (IB);
Polytechnic Diploma with Merit; or
Other equivalent pre-university qualifications; and
At least one semester of university results.
Applications should be submitted before the final year of undergraduate studies.

The Singapore Government Scholarship (Foreign Service) [SGS(FS)] supports studies in most disciplines at reputable overseas universities, including those in the UK, US, China, France, Germany, and Japan. The Ministry values scholars from diverse academic backgrounds and welcomes applicants pursuing a wide range of disciplines.
We also encourage applicants to consider studying in non-English-speaking countries, where they can gain language proficiency and immerse themselves in different cultures and perspectives.
